ServSafe® Food Handler

The ServSafe® Food Handler training and assessment program is a complete solution that delivers consistent food safety training to employees. Whether you are an employee seeking your Food Handler Card or an operation seeking a compliant solution for your employees, the ServSafe® Food Handler Program has a product that's right for you.

ServSafe Food Handler covers five key areas: basic food safety, personal hygiene, cross-contamination & allergens, time & temperature, and cleaning & sanitation.

If you currently work in Platte County and need to obtain a Food Handler Permit, please see the Platte County Health Department website for details on their approved training program and details on getting your Food Service Worker Card. Information can be found on their website. If you do not work in Platte County you can use the ServSafe® Food Handler Online Course or the ServSafe® Food Handler Guide. Both the general online course and the Food Handler Guide are not valid in Platte County to receive your food handler permit.
