The Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association is committed to cultivating the next generation of the hospitality industry through scholarship and mentorship. Each year, the GKCRA, in partnership with the Missouri Restaurant Association, the Kansas Restaurant and Hospitality Assocation and the National Restaurant Association, awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to students in the greater Kansas City area seeking a degree or certificate in a hospitality-related field.

Applications are released in the first week of February each year and due to the GKCRA Education Committee within four weeks. Applicants are notified of the award in April and officially honored at the Gilbert Robinson Leadership and Awards Dinner in October.
